AI Chatbots
AI Chatbot Development
A Chatbot That Answers From Your Business, Not From the Internet
Most website chatbots either recite a script or invent answers. I build ones grounded in your actual material - your prices, your policies, your product - that hand off to a human the moment they are out of their depth, and that log every conversation so you can see what customers really ask.
Key takeaways
- A chatbot is only as good as what it is allowed to read. Grounding it in your own content is the whole job.
- Handoff rules matter more than the model. A bot that never admits it is stuck costs you the customer.
- The conversation log is the real product: it shows the questions your site should have answered already.
- Off-the-shelf widgets are cheaper and fine for FAQ deflection. Custom wins once it must read your systems.
What I build
- A website chat widget grounded in your own content
- Hebrew and English in the same bot, with the right one picked automatically
- Escalation rules and a clean handoff to a human
- Lead capture and qualification inside the conversation
- Guardrails so it declines what it should not answer
- Conversation logs, cost tracking per reply, and a per-chat off switch

How it works
A short scoping call
What hurts today, what you already use, and what "done" looks like.
A written fixed-price quote
Scope, price and timeline in writing, approved before any work starts.
Built in stages, on your real data
You see a working first version early, not a demo at the end.
Handover with documentation and monitoring
You own the code and the data, and a support window follows launch.
Working with me from the US or Europe
- Most of my client work is for companies in the US, UK, Germany, the Netherlands and Australia.
- Calls are in English and scheduled in your time zone. My working day covers most of the European one and the US East Coast morning.
- A fixed price in US dollars, agreed in writing before any work starts.
- Pay me directly, or hire me through Upwork if you prefer to work through a platform.
- You own the code and the data, with documentation and a support window after launch.

Frequently asked questions
Will it make things up?
That is the failure mode worth designing against. The bot answers from a retrieval layer over your own material rather than from open-ended generation, it is instructed to say it does not know, and it escalates instead of guessing. No system is immune, so the conversation log exists to catch what slips through.
Chatbot, RAG, or an AI agent - which do I need?
A chatbot is the conversation. RAG is how it answers from your private documents. An agent is the one that goes and does something in another system - creates the ticket, books the slot, updates the CRM. Most projects start as a chatbot with RAG and add agent actions once the answers are trusted.
What does it cost to run?
Two costs: the build, and the per-reply model usage. The second one is small per conversation but worth measuring from day one, so every build logs the token cost of each reply. See the pricing guide linked below.
