Machine-sale data is useful only when it can be associated with a machine, location, product, and time. A general daily total cannot identify stockouts, a machine that stopped operating, or a product that does not sell at one location.
Separate payment event, sale event, inventory refill, and fault event in the data model. They can happen at different times and are not necessarily one-to-one. A payment can fail without sale, or a sale can register while telemetry is delayed.
For the first analysis, choose three measures: sales per machine per day, stockout rate by product, and time since last activity. Before automation or connection, confirm with Nayax which data is available to the account, at what frequency, and through which authorized route.
