Dental Clinic: Reminders, Consent, and Payments Without Exposing Medical Information in Alerts

A dental appointment reminder should contain only what is necessary: time, confirmation or change route, and contact channel.

A dental appointment reminder should contain only what is necessary: time, confirmation or change route, and contact channel. It need not state the procedure or include medical information in WhatsApp or SMS. Permissions and file access must be designed by role, not convenience.

Each appointment has confirmation, cancellation, attendance, or no-show state. A change updates calendar and patient file rather than creating an isolated message. Payment links to service and document, but card details are not stored in the appointments system; they belong with the appropriate payment provider.

The system can reduce no-shows and simplify coordination, but it does not replace informed consent, clinical judgement, or medical-record duty. Those must be governed by the clinic’s procedures and professional parties.
