From Discovery Meeting to Quote: AI as a Draft With Open Questions, Not a Commitment

A discovery summary can save time when it separates what was said, what was understood, and what remains open.

A discovery summary can save time when it separates what was said, what was understood, and what remains open. AI tends to complete gaps in natural language, so an automatic summary must not become a quote, schedule, or specification directly.

Use a template: business goal, users, daily flow, existing systems, data, exceptions, third-party dependency, assumptions, and questions. Each item receives verified, client-stated, or internal state. Only verified items enter scoped quote, and every assumption is shown to the client for approval.

Before sending, check that the quote does not promise integration, timeline, or outcome not approved. AI accelerates drafting and follow-up questions; the project owner approves the commitment.
